365 days ago, we were sitting for our first 'A' Level paper. And I still remember vividly the gripping fear; the kind of fear that hits you when you realise how unprepared you are for that which is torpedoing your way.
365 days later, I find myself gripped with the same fear. The fear of
tah-pao-ing my subjects.
The NTU dictionarytah-
pao: to fail a subject badly enough to have to re-do it in the next semester.
"Wah, I dunno what happening in Material Science leh. Confirm tah-pao one."You know you're in trouble when the C++ source code you've written shows up 102 errors upon compilation. You know you're in trouble when your professor asks if you've entered the wrong classroom when you finally turn up for a tutorial. You know you're in trouble when your computer tells you that the last time you opened the file you downloaded all your lecture notes into is "None".
I'm in trouble.
